What is Going On Around Spring, Texas, During the Holiday Season?

Everyone wants a safe and happy holiday season, and there are many family-friendly activities planned in December near your apartments in Spring, Texas.

“Selfies with Santa” Drive-Thru Event

Family events during the winter holidays in 2020 will be a little different for most families, and there’s a good bet that some families will only see one another virtually, through their smartphones. Fortunately, kids and families in Spring can still visit Santa with the “Selfies with Santa” event that will be held on December 20th at 4:00 PM.

Santa will pass out treats to children from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM to kids while they sit in their cars in a drive-thru style visit. The official flyer for the event reveals that “Santa will be passing out cookie decorating kits that were prepared by his elves,” which should infuse some delicious holiday cheer into the family home.

Another car-based activity where families will load up into their cars and experience a holiday event is The Light Park, which is a Christmas light festival where over a million lights blink in synchronized dances to holiday music. It’s just a short drive from our apartments in North Houston to the Light Park.

The event runs for almost two months in November and December, with the last display occurring on December 31st. The show runs seven days a week, and the cost is $40 per vehicle when tickets are booked online. Tickets bought at the event are an additional $10.

Basic admission includes a toast at midnight, and the party will start at 8:00 PM and end at 2:00 AM on the first day of 2021. The Lucky Dog also plays host to an Ugly Sweater Party on December 18th, so there are multiple reasons to visit the bar this December.
